Every year the trustees of the Gravity Research Foundation offers five awards for short essays for stimulating thought and encouraging work on the phenomenon of gravitation.
Here, on Long Island we are lucky enough to have our own Institute located at Bahamas Advanced Study Institute and Conferences, 4A Ocean Heights, Hill View Circle, Stella Maris, Long Island which is run by Long Island resident Eduardo I. Guendelman who you may have seen around Stella Maris from time to time. His student David Benisty and Eduardo entered an essay to be considered for this years awards and secured a second place in this highly regarded competition https://www.gravityresearchfoundation.org/announcement.
Eduardo decided to locate the institue at Ocean Heights because of the climate and tranquility of the area. For those of us not so well versed in physics I’m sure we can all understand why Ocean Heights is a beautiful place to work or play.
